Campaign
Disney Schools Run programme – Getting children running. In partnership with ParkRun and London Youth Games
Role
Lead visual designer and producer while working at Disney
Date
September- October 2016
Providing creative ideation and design solution for the SchoolsRun project – a partnership campaign between Disney, Park Run and London Youth Games. I lead the creative and design work from ideation to delivery. Enabling schools nationwide the access to resources with inspirational characters to engage young kids to get active and running.
Then rewarding pupils at key milestones to keep them motivated. I lead and had a hands-on approach in the ideation and the gamification of the contents and the visual design.
The images seen on this page were from the pilot which was delivered to schools in April 2017. The final delivery was nationwide in September 2017. The contents that had been created for the pilot was two wallcharts, two versions of a diary for pupils, 6 stickers to collect, images for schools to use across their comms, a parents newsletter and a school welcome pack.
Presentation Deck
To help sell in the idea to present across the different businesses I worked on a conceptual presentation deck. I designed and put the deck together. Working with internal teams at Disney we collaborated to create concepts to gain engagement for the proposal.
I worked heavily on the visual design and aesthetics adhering to brand guidelines of the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars franchises.
Development
Initially working solo then going on to hiring another designer to aid the bulk of the work. Working with copywriters and the wider internal teams to create these assets.
Wall chart – work in progress

The wallchart was the key asset to create. Initially, the request was to combine all franchises together which wasn’t what we ended up heading in. We ended up with 4 different franchise wall charts which worked a lot better as some brands would be seen as too young and vice versa on the age band. Breaking out the brands resulted in more aesthetically pleasing themed artwork which were also less busy!
Final designs
Below is a selection of the final designs that were sent for print for the pilot.
